The inspiration behind the work comes from the richness, resilience, and incredible diversity of the African Diaspora and the fertile multiversal blackness cradling our planet from which all life sprang. Anti-Blackness is understood, in this context, as anti-life and entirely antithetical to creative energy and the potential for healing. Themes of self care, mental health, and justice are central.
